Jeffy Sanich
Sous Chef
“PYT – hottest dance track ever.”
When it comes right down to it, working in the kitchen at The White Apron is a real experience. The character of our kitchen staff speaks volumes about who The White Apron is, and why food is truly our passion.
Jeffy Sanich spent the summer of 2007 on Nantucket, working for Ben Reed at The White Elephant hotel. It was his first kitchen job, in a town very farm from home, but Jeffy did incredible work and had a real interest in learning more about the history of food preparation and service. When the summer of 2007 was up, Jeffy moved back to Salk Lake City, Utah but couldn’t be drawn away from the kitchen. He landed a cooking job and after a year was promoted to lead line. As his career was developing in Park City, Ben and Jay were working on finishing up a great wedding season here in New Hampshire. It was the summer of 2010 and they knew that the biggest event of their summer was going to need a little extra something. That something was Jeffy, and he happily flew back East to help out the team.
During this visit Jeffy met Jay. His incredible talent, passion for proper food execution, and lust for all things delicious made Jeffy a sure-fire fit to the Apron team during those two weeks – and by the end of them, Jay had no other option but to offer Jeffy a chance to come back for the summer of 2011 as sous chef. And here we all are now.
Jeffy is thrilled to be with The White Apron today and has no intention of leaving any time soon. He is growing to enjoy New Hampshire very much, loves taking long walks on the beach, autumn drives in the woods, and cute little animals. He does not like Phish records – but will throw down any time MJ’s PYC comes on the radio.
